About Martin
Martin comes from Gosport in Hampshire, and discovered musical theatre while with the Portsmoth Players and performing at the Kings Theatre in Southsea, before training at the GUILDFORD SCHOOL OF ACTING on the three year musical theatre coarse.
Martin has been appearing for the last year as his alter ego Bunny Galore in the west end revue show THE WAM BAM CLUB at the Café de Paris hosted by the Soho legend Lady Alex. They both feature in the new Sky one documentary “A Different Breed” along with Sookie the chiwawa, and appeared on a hysterical episode of Bargain Hunt where even with the help of the faithful Sookie they lost spectacularly.
And his popular character has her own online soap opera Pantry Manor now in its sixth season and 35 episodes.
The live version of Pantry Manor titled The Ghost of Badgers Wood premiered at the Camden Fringe Festival 2009, and his own show BUNNY GALORE Live And Sedated premiered at the at the Canal Café, Etcetera Theatre in London before taking the show to Zoo Southside venue for the run of the 2008 Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
His theatre credits include Zip Goes A Million and Follow That Girl (Lost Muscials at Covent Garden) In The Red (Her Majesty’s), The Ugly Duckling,(Charles Cryer Theatre Carlshalton) Sweet Charity, Cabaret (Electric theatre, Guildford). Sail Away (Woking) He can also be heard on the cast albums of Zip Goes A Million and Love On The Dole.
Llandudno was Martin’s 16th pantomime season and 12th in skirts!!
His first pantomime dame was the title role in Mother Goose (Electric theatre, Guildford) then Liza DoLittle in Peter Pan (Woodvilles Halls, Gravesend), Mrs Crusoe in Robinson Crusoe (Oakwood Theme Park), Sarah the Cook in Dick Whittington (Civic Centre, Doncaster), then Ugly Sister in Cinderella (The Capitol, Horesham) Martin was invited back to Horsham and as Dame Doris Dumpling in Snow White.
His first Ugly sister with David Robbins in Cinderella was Eddie Hardup (Woodvilles Halls) then Susannah Hardup in Cinderella (Broadway theatre, Catford)
Martin and David first joined Qdos's Cinderella four years ago as Susannah and Trinny Hardup with Basil Brush (St Albans Arena). Then with Lesley Joseph as fairy godmother in Cinderella (Theatre Royal Plymouth) and the whole cast reprised they’re successful Plymouth show at The Orchard Dartford.
As the Ugly Sisters they have appeared on the Friday Night Project (when David Tennant guest starred in a special matinee of Cinderella) and on Children In Need for the BBC.
